Light up the Sky

Being a more Roth friendly site, I'm going to narrow the field down to the first 6 albums.

My favorite =VH= album is: Van Halen.
I've heard that Fair Warning is "the ultimate Heavy Metal album", well, it's not! It is better than 1984 and DD, but not comparable to the first 3. Van Halen is the best album of all time.

Closely followed by WACF and VHII.

I agree with Mr MOFO. Those types of questions are transient, fortunately the Music itself isn't. With VH you have a certain privilege. You have 6 records of varying tone, all with a quality and qualities of their own. It's been 30 years since VHI and, like the 5 that proceeded it, I simply cannot play it, them, enough.

I have to say I can't pick a favorite out of the six, simply because I love it ALL so much....I created a "VH faves" playlist in my music library awhile ago, picking and choosing the songs that truly make me Go and I just reviewed it--there are songs from every single one of the six pack...

I've worn out more cassettes over the years than I care to attempt counting. I treasure my original vinyl copies, and still play them occasionally just to get that same old feeling I got the first time I heard them...

So I'd have to say my playlist is my favorite album...does that count? haha! (Oh, I picked Fair Warning for the poll, simply for the fact that it's invariably the first one I reach for when I think, "It's VH time!"

Well, today its all about WACF.

This is VH at their creative peek. We have electric organs, punk rock, devil screams, congo drums, rainy balconies, angel harmonies, police calls....

'Romeo Delight' simply kicks all other rock to the curb. Is this VH at their best? Their hardest? I would say so.

Yes, HELL yes, 'Romeo Delight' is the absolute hardest rock song EVER! The only thing it doesn't have is a.... well, I was getting ready to say "a "danceable"" but it has TYWH, so, this is the U-CVH album to me.
Oh, and it is Edwards best tone.

Today I carried WACF out to our shed (thats where I spend most of my time on the weekends) and anyway, through our surround sound system out their made RD sound fucking viscious!
Thats right, we have surround sound, power, hot water, and cable out in our tool shed. High-Tech-Redneck? Yes
