I Just Don't Get It

Why is it that 'Pretty Woman' gets respect but 'Dancing In The Streets' doesn't. I personally think that DITS is a better song than PW. What modifactions did the bros make to PW (and whammy flutters do not count)? Atleast DITS had a solo, and a good solo at that. You can't count Intruder as part of PW because it is not called PW.

What do you think?

maybe it has to do with the fact that Martha and the Vandellas are just a tad bit less "rock" than Roy Orbison.

I'm not sure, perhaps because Pretty Woman was released before Dancin' in the Streets...(that correct right?)..anyway, like spanishfly said, PW is more of a Rock song, both are great song IMO though.. :!:

Personally, I've always enjoyed Dancin' in the Streets more than Pretty Woman, although both songs are good....Dancin' just has a better groove to me than PW, and I think it lends itself better to Edward's playing, his touch, than PW does...
