To those that have purchased & viewed the book, what are you favorite chapters?

I'd have to go with 79 & 80.
1980 features a shot of an unusual Ibanez destroyer, only slightly modded (unlike the shark).
1981 is amazing also, as is 78.

I believe the one he used in 80' contrary to popular belief was an Ibanez Destoryer owned by Chris Holmes of W.A.S.P. an old friend of Edward from the club days. Chris Holmes said that when he got the guitar back the bridge was turned around backwards so was and the strings were gone.

And I present The Shark![img]

I got The Book for Yule, and I keep poring over it again and again. There are shots in each of the chapters that I'd never seen before, and some old faves as well.

I have to say, the pic on pg 53, in the 1979 chapter, just blows me away---Remember that quote of Dave's about Van Halen's sound was meant to "spill out over your turntable and ruin all your other records?" Well, this picture clearly displays that power, that incredible take-no-prisoners vibe that was =VH= back then, and this pic very nearly does the same to the rest of the book, for me. Love the whole book though, in the end.

I can't wait until it comes down to about $10, then I'll buy it.

An e-book would be good for me. I've got too many books! They start to take up space.

It's still $23.10 at amazon.com---I know that's not all that much better, but it's still a little bit....

See Ravenna, thats where they get you, it's $35 including shipping. I'll either wait for my birthday or until it gets around $10.

Actually not if you have something else you want to buy at the same time that also qualifies for their free "super saver" shipping. Your order has to top $25. Sure, it takes a little longer in transit, but if you're talking about waiting months for the price to come down at your local bookstore, what's a few extra days through the mail, right?

Everybody's budget's different though, I know....
