Van Halen Tour is NOT Cancelled!

Despite the rumors, the Van Halen tour is not cancelled. However, it is being postponed for 1 month.
Here is what I got from the Van HalenTM website.

VAN HALEN TOUR RESCHEDULED UNTIL APRIL 19TH

LOS ANGELES, CA -- March 10, 2008
LOS ANGELES, CA March 10, 2008 Seventeen concert dates on the Van Halen tour are being rescheduled so that Eddie Van Halen, who is currently under doctors' care, can continue medical tests to define a course of treatment. The tour will resume on April 19th.

I personally think that Edwards cancer has re-lapsed, or he got too "giddy" and dislocated his artificial hip.

Its his inner ear problem. Nothin to worry about. Just takes time to heal.

There was a short report at music.aol.com quoting Valerie as defending him today---she says he's NOT in rehab, that he's sober. And she described him as "being proactive about his illness" but wouldn't disclose what that illness is, saying she didn't think it was her place to discuss that....Nice to see she's sticking up for him...

And yes, mofo, I agree, let's just take that awful cancer thought right out of the equation....

It could be that his ear drums burst because of the access noise?

Not sure if its his drums per say. But I know its got to do with the fluid in the inner ear. A seasickness thing.
Would drive a man nuts.

It might be just a rumor..a rumor like that is bound to get out considering he was just in rehab a few months back.

I don't know what to think, and I'm sure as hell not jumping to conclusions until I've heard a statement. I personally think that the ear problem is most logical, but I don't know that.

All we can do is pray that the tour doesn't tank.

Went to Ticketmaster today to try and get them to cough up a decent seat for the Dallas show in April, and when I scrolled down to find it, there were a whole bunch of the seventeen shows rescheduled for April and May (including your Hershey show, Ron---) So it's not tanking, they are moving forward....I really believe, given Valerie's statement last week defending Edward against the rehab rumor, that there's a medical problem he's trying to take care of, and come April 19th, the tour will resume as rescheduled....

Man, Van Halen must really not want to play in St. Louis. They postpones that show twice now. It is a huge Ronald McDonald town..I bet that is why VH caneled so many shows..;~).

Dude...you're not seriously implying that the mighty =VH= is afraid to play St. Louis because the people there have such terrible taste as to like Spammy? puh-leaaaaasssse!

If they've cancelled the show there twice for any other reason than Edward's medical issue, then it's because they realize that playing for such losers as a bunch of Spam Lovers would be a waste of their time and talent. Nay it could even be called a sin against the music gods--playing before such philistines!! feh.
