Wanted to see if it could be done.
Gibson Flying V copy turned into a Guitar Hero controller.
Watch for it on the Bay.

I love Guitar Hero! Just got Guitar Hero II from a friend, I was jammin' to some YYZ and You Really Got Me.

Did you make this Flyin' V? It's a very cool idea! But looks hard to play.. The link on ebay said the item was unavalable..

Very cool, ever thought of making a Frankie style one? That would be awesome!

Yeah, it's really pointless to have it if you don't play it..

In all honesty, I can't stand GH. The only thing good about it is it's putting metal into the mainstream. Nowadays, no one cares if you have a '57 Les Paul Gold-top, SIGNED By Mr. Paul himself, and a '68 Marshall Plexi, as long as you have the freakin' game!

well some people will. its pointless to have a nice rig like that if you don't have the chops to back it up. otherwise its just like having a ferrari just to drive around town, but never to drive fast. i no nobody that feels that skill in gh translates to skill on a guitar though.

In my expirences, people who spend a lot of time playing Guitar Hero have been called nerds. I don't know, I enjoy Guitar Hero a lot. It's a fun game. Yeah, it doesn't take nearly as much skill to play than a real guitar...but, it's still fun and playing on Expert is challenging.

Yeah, I mean, I have the chops to back up a badass rig, but some people still wouldn't give a flying fuck.

Yeah. Back in the sixties, I would have gotten laid - Just because I can play a 12-String! (apparently very stylish at the time)

Now we've got rap, which is the same 60 or so guys with some rythm talking about sex, murder, and their posse. They blare bass notes that sound as if you detuned a bass 5 octaves and distorted it, the same beat is always used, and they have these obnoxious 3-note ostenatoes! It's fucking lazy! It's not what it used to be anymore - Rap used to be a big deal, you'd do it for about 3 hours, and it was basically a big jam session complete with musicians and poets alike - It went down hill about when Gangsta rap came out. Murder rap doesn't help either.

Look at the likes of Dream Theater's James LaBrie, or John Petrucci, for crying out loud! They're a modern - day Bruce Dickinson - Eddie Van Halen combo, fuck it! It's like a supergroup of EVH, Bruce Dickinson, Alex Webster, Janne Warman, and Jimmy Degrasso! Sounds About Like:

I can't see why something like that is being one-upped by this:

Generally, I'm proud I'm American - I mean, we're the last country that's non-socialist, non-facist, etc. But this just lets me down and hard.

I was telling my family about my new project I just started, it is a 59' Gibson Black Beauty replica, they asked me the total price compared to the one at Guitar Center, and my cousin's exact words were "Why don't you go to Wal-Mart and get one for $50 bucks?" I swear I just about killed him.

I personally think that Guitar Hero and Rock Band has made a bigger joke out of metal.

I always wondered if it effected my back account. The times I mean.
If I woulda had my shit together back in the 80s, I might have been sucessfull faster. But who knows.

I knew a guy that was interested in one of my guitars. He asked how much and flipped. He told me he could go to Mean Street guitars and get the same thing for 300. I tried to exsplain to him that he would just get a 300 dollar guitar. Mines a 2000 dollar guitar. Big difference. He didn't get it. The poor dude never played a good axe.

You shouldn't beat yourself up over "not having your sh*t together back in the 80's" Ron---I'd be hard pressed to think of anyone who really did, including me..haha! Things happen, I've found and continue to find, when they are supposed to, when the time is ripe for them to bloom---one just has to be a patient gardener....which I am becoming as time goes by...

So maybe you wouldn't have been as successful back then as your are now, with your growing business....ever think of that?

I would kill him too, I hate those cheap-assed ripoff guitars. They don't play that well, I'd rather have a "Hello Kitty" Guitar than an El-Cheapo esta Waldo-World one.

That guitar might make a cool Bumble Bee replica, just to hang on the wall..but it has the wrong bridge..

Me too. I have played one of those Hello Kitty guitars (Christmas present for someone else), and they play pretty damn good.

See Pan-Man, my cousin wasn't talking about one of those "El-cheapo" guitars from Walmart, he was talking about one of the Guitar Hero controllers.
