Holy Cow! I jump out of my skin every time one comes on...and if I'm playing music, it overrides whatever I'm listening to. Is there any way to shut them off? They are truly loathsome...

Iro, I haven't heard any today, but for a good week there, while browsing the forum, suddenly there would be this stranger's voice in my headphones, talking about reaching more people with audio ads, or ads themselves...they were none of them more than approximately 8 seconds long, but they were very unnerving--an unexpected voice out of nowhere, and fairly loud...Perhaps it was something the free-forums.org was trying out and they got so much flak from it they stopped....
